Date, Chia and Maca Balls
Recipe by Pete Evans (Healthy Every Day)
Ingredients:
- 15 pitted dates
- 50 g chia seeds
- 1 t maca powder
- 1 t ground cinnamon
- 50 g slivered almonds
- 75 g walnuts (activated if possible), crushed
- 3-4 T shredded coconut
Method:
- Combine the dates, chia seeds, maca powder, cinnamon, almonds, walnuts and 3 tablespoons of the coconut in a bowl and mix well.
- Place the remaining 2 tablespoons of the coconut in another bowl. Take small amounts of the mixture and roll into balls. Coat the balls in the coconut, rolling them around in your palms so that the coconut sticks. Store in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Variation
You can use any type of nuts in this recipe. You can also add another type of dried fruit, such as figs or apricots.
